Original embossed Springfield Fire & Marine Insurance Co sign. The Springfield Fire & Marine Insurance Co. was incorporated in 1849. It was merged into the Insurance Company of North America in 1958.
This particular piece is advertising "Hail Insurance" on growing crops. Wonderful vibrant colors throughout. This sign shows very well with some minor flea bite hits and light surface scratches. There is some minor edge wear. This pre 1960s sign displays very well and would male an excellent addition to any collection. Marked "George W Trent, Chicago".
